ACKS is a multimedia artist and creative thinker focusing on graphic/visual design, photography, and illustration. Currently seeking opportunities as a freelance artist and consultant. As Design Director at Havas Life, ACKS led a small team of talented designers to ensure the highest quality of craft across all brands on a variety of projects at Havas Life—including digital, print, social, and brand identity design. Before moving to Havas, ACKS was an ACD at GREY Group for several years, overseeing campaign and brand development for Pharma clients. Before ad life, ACKS worked as a storyteller and Photoshop guru at a small creative studio in New York City called Click 3X. There, Acks honed in on storytelling, retouching, and comping skills, using them to develop compelling storyboards for title sequences/show openings, commercials, graphic packages, and more for various entertainment companies including HBO, Fox Sports, CBS, TBS, Syfy, Cablevision, and more.
During the COVID-19 quarantine, ACKS created illustrations for t-shirts and set up an online shop to help raise money for the three remaining Lesbian (but inclusive of +GBTQIA) Bars in NYC. Over $20K was raised and all proceeds went directly to the bars to help try and keep them afloat while their businesses had to be shuttered.
When not working, ACKS can often be found at home spending QT with their family (Partner + cat + pup) or wandering the city streets, dressed in shades of black, with a camera in hand. An art enthusiast, on the cusp of Capricorn and Aquarius, a meticulous explorer, and a lover of the details. If ACKS had a side hustle, it would be organizing things neatly.
